3,000 More Post Offices May Shut If Card Account Contract Is Lost

Plaid AM for Mid and West Wales Nerys Evans and Carmarthen East and Dinefwr MP Adam Price has backed the calls made by the National Federation of SubPostmasters to award the contract to run the new Post Office card account (POCA) to Post Office Ltd . According to the NPSP as many as 3,000 more post offices could be forced to close if the Government removes subpostmasters' right to handle state pensions and benefits payments. The number of possible closures represents 25% of the sub post offices due to remain at the end of the current Network Change closure programme. Soldiers Clean Up Beach Rubbish

Soldiers of the 14th Signal Regiment from Brawdy have once again removed tonnes of rubbish from two beaches in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
