lanterns1Pembroke Dock Festival Group are proud to present their third Midwinter Parade, in conjunction with Llanion Communities First, Pembroke Dock Town Council and Bush and Park Tenants and Residents Association which will take place on Friday December 11th from Pembroke Dock Memorial Park.

The fun begins at 5pm with Professor Panic's Fire Show kicking off festivities in the Memorial Park in Bush Street. The Lantern Parade will then assemble and leave the Memorial Park at 6pm with Father Christmas.

lit-lanternsThe lantern carriers and stilt walkers will parade through the town accompanied by Pembroke Dock's finest music maker's, Samba Doc, and arrive at the Christmas tree in Lower Meyrick Street to be greeted by local entertainer Neil Thomas leading some rousing carols.

If you would like to make a lantern for the parade, there are Open Family workshops with Space2create, taking place in Pembroke Dock Youth Centre on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December from 10 - 4 with festive refreshments available. There are also adult workshops taking place in the Pater Hall, on Monday 7th (2-4) and Tuesday 8th December (1-3)
