'Chief Scout' Award Winners Receive Certificates PDF Print
Monday, 28 January 2008 00:00
Mrs Jill Gloster, the Chief Commissioner for Scouts in Wales is pictured with the award winners at a special presentation evening held recently.

At a special presentation evening held recently at Tasker Millward school, Haverfordwest Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts from Pembrokeshire who had gained the Chief Scout award during the past year (2007) were presented with a certificate to commemorate their achievement by Mrs Jill Gloster, the Chief Commissioner for Scouts in Wales.

The Chief Scout award is the highest award a young person can gain in their section - a high level of commitment and effort has to be made to achieve it.

2007 was the centenary year for the scout movement and this made the presentation even more special. The large number of award winners in 2007 clearly shows that scouting in pembrokeshire continues to offer young people in the county fun, excitement and adventure.

Why not contact your nearest scout group and come along and see for yourself the wide variety of experiences and adventure scouting can offer you either as a section member or as a leader. Ring: 01834 871260 for further details.
