As the clock turns back five centuries for the eagerly awaited Carew 500 Pageant this month (news), modern-day visitors will find some temporary and enforced changes on access in the local area.

Over the May Day bank holiday weekend - Saturday 5th to Monday 7th inclusive - the millpond picnic site overlooking the castle and the approach road will be closed to vehicles.
