On Wednesday 18th October six valiant members assembled at Bwlch Gwynt in thick cloud and a fresh southeasterly breeze.

Making their way in poor visibility to the viewpoint at the summit of Foel Eryr, the plaque gave distance and directions to the surrounding views - interesting but opaque! However on the westerly descent, the clouds gave way to blue skies and sunshine, providing an excellent view of the wild ponies, as the route descended gradually to the bottom of the Gwaun Valley.

Lunch was taken on the ascent from the valley towards Gelli Fawr, in an autumn setting beside a tumbling waterfall.

Past Gelli Fawr, the group climbed slowly through the moors to the top of the Rosebush track, and thence back to the starting point.

A pleasant walk on what proved to be the best day of the week.
