Pembrokeshire County Council is now officially offering advice to those seeking British Citizenship.
The authority’s registration service has launched a new checking service for citizenship applications.
It’s only the second local authority in Wales to be able to do so.
The authorisation from the OISC (Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner) means that registration staff will be able to help supply application forms, make sure they are filled in correctly, check and copy documents so people can keep the originals, as well as submit the application by secure post.
Applications filled in correctly and completely are likely to be dealt with by the Home Office more quickly.
The checking service, which is not compulsory, will be available for a fee - from £40 for a single adult to £75 for a family with two children - and is by appointment only.
If you would like to find out more please contact the Register Office on 01437 775176 or email registrar@pembrokeshire.gov.uk.
