Bright Sunshine And The Bus Get The Ramblers Out

A busload of 22 members of the Pembrokeshire Ramblers met on Saturday March 24th for a walk which started near Pointz Castle, Brawdy.
No doubt the turnout was influenced by brilliant sunshine and blue skies, and undoubtedly the bus company that took the ramblers to St Davids on route 411 for the start of the walk, were grateful for the trade.
From St Davids, the task was to walk the eight miles back to Pointz Castle, mostly along the Coast Path, with the walk starting out across the fields to St Non’s Chapel.
A mid-morning break was taken in the sunshine at Caerbwdi and lunch was consumed at the harbour in Solva.
After getting back to our cars near Pointz Castle, many of the group stopped off for well-earned tea and cakes at Newgale.
The Pembrokeshire Ramblers' Group was first formed in 1972 and has grown into a flourishing and friendly association of walkers and extend a warm welcome to visitors in this beautiful part of Wales.
