A Pembrokeshire community minibus is sporting a new look!

The Manorbier Community bus has been decorated with historic pictures of the past to take it into the future.

Designed by children from Manorbier Primary School, the history of the village - from Gerald Cwmbrensis at Manorbier Castle to the footballers and surfers of today - will be highlighted whenever the new bus takes to the road.

The minibus was officially launched by Councillor Jamie Adams, Cabinet Member for Transport and the Environment earlier this month.

"The bus is designed to benefit the whole community including the young and elderly and will contribute to the development of community transport in the area," he said.

"It will transport people of all ages to a wide variety of events and venues, from the simple school run to Charity Balls and Scout Jamborees."

Developed in partnership with Pembrokeshire County Council, Pembrokeshire Association of Community Transport Organisations, local business sponsorship and Manorbier Community Transport, the bus will benefit local groups and organisations, as well as the children of the village primary school.

Organisers are always looking for new users so if anyone is interested they can contact: 01834 871311 for more details.

The minibus is available for bookings on weekdays from 9.30am to 3pm and from 4.30pm onwards during term time and anytime during the weekends and school holidays.

There are certain requirements about drivers and joining fees, but further details will be given on request.

The children's art work on the minibus was kindly sponsored by Chevron of Pembroke.
