Natives of the USA, Turkey, Egypt, the Philippines, Bulgaria, Thailand, New Zealand and India undertook the vow of British citizenship on St David’s Day in County Hall, Haverfordwest.
The ceremony was conducted by Barbara Eynon, Superintendent Registrar for the Registration District of Pembrokeshire.
The citizens swore an oath to the Sovereign before being presented with a citizenship certificate and a pack containing a passport application.
They were welcomed to Pembrokeshire and Wales by the Chairman of Pembrokeshire County Council, Councillor Bill Roberts, and presented with flowers by the children of Milford Haven Junior School.
The pupils then entertained the guests to a very high standard with various musical items, and led the singing of the Welsh and British National Anthems.
Local dignitaries, representing the communities where the new citizens live, were also invited.
They included the High Sheriff Dyfed, Col Dai Davies and Mrs Davies, the Mayor of Haverfordwest Cllr Roy Thomas, and Mrs Thomas; the Mayor of Tenby Cllr John Griffiths, and Cllr Trevor Hallett, the Deputy Mayor of Pembroke Cllr Gareth Jones, the Town Sheriff of Carmarthen Cllr Ken Lloyd and Mrs Lloyd, and the Chairman of Maenclochog Community Council Cllr Teifion John, and Mrs John.
