As a result of industrial action by the National Unions of Teachers, one secondary school, Ysgol Dewi Sant (St Davids) was closed in Pembrokeshire today (Thursday).

The County’s seven other secondary schools remained open.

Forty-six primary schools were partially closed as was one Special school (Portfield, Haverfordwest).

An estimated 4,250 primary school pupils and 500 secondary school pupils were unable to attend school because of the strike.
