Preseli Pembrokeshire AM Paul Davies visited the Pembrokeshire Carers Outreach Centre in Meyler House, Haverfordwest where he was given an introduction to the services offered by the organisation.
“Carers are the unsung heroes of our society and the wonderful service and support offered by the Centre is clearly very important to many people,” said Mr Davies.
The Centre gives a free and confidential service to carers and former carers including benefit checks and help to access services and grants. Training is also given on carers issues and it also runs a support group.
The Centre also offers an outreach service at hospitals and GP surgeries and home visits if requested.
It also supports adolescent and young carers and runs regular clubs and trips for carers aged eight to 25.
If you'd like more information on their services you can contact them on 01437 767762.
